Squidoo Traffic Machine
Squidoo? Your about to learn what Squidoo is and how to use it to drive traffic to your site.
Squidoo is a website that was founded by Seth Godin in October of 2005. Seth is an avid Blogger, Speaker and Author. Now one of the top 500 tracked websites by Alexa for traffic it is a network of user generated pages called lenses.
Lenses contain your ideas, expertise, views and recommendations on just about any topic.
How to Use Squidoo to drive Traffic.
You will need to take the following steps:
Setup a Squidoo Account. Create your lense. Add a link to your squeeze page.
Go here to signup for your squidoo account http://www.squidoo.com then choose the signup link at the top.
Once you have signed up you will need to design your page. Using the squidoo modules you will be able to simply create the page. The Basic modules are Ebay, Del.ico.us bookmarks, Flickr photos, Guest Book, Google Blog Search, Link List, RSS, Text/Write, Orbitz, Text list, and You Tube Videos.
As you can see you have alot of modules that you can add. They have other modules in the following categories Basic, New!, Money Makers, Plexo, Search A-Z, Some other Squidoo features
Squidoo is very different from other sites as you will get to share in the money made from adsense or any of the modules you setup on your lense. You can give your share to charity, split it and give a portion to charity and a portion to youself, or keep it all for yourself.
I read that if you contribute to charity your rankings will be better but I haven't tested that. I'm not really using the site to make money anyway so I just contribute to charity. I'm using it to drive traffic so we won't talk any more about making money on Squidoo.
Now to get your link on the squidoo site you will want to add the Text/Write module or you can add it to your introduction page. It's a good idea to have something to offer. Like a free report.
When your all done your lense will look similar to the one I setup. While you're taking a look why not rank my squidoo page. You do this by clicking on the stars that say your rank. 5 stars is the best. To get your site ranked higher the ranking system is how you will get your site listed higher in the listings. Which will give you more traffic.
To get a better ranking just send people to rank your site. Another method is to become active in the squidoo groups.
Squidoo has an Alexa Ranking of 487 which means that pages will be picked up by the search engines. So your page will most likely be picked up by the search engines.
